What you’ll be doing
As a Lead ID Designer, you will focus on our Medical client’s products and services, developing a strong empathy with patients who use them. Armed with this empathy, you will craft design concepts that meaningfully improve the quality of life and user experience of those products. You will take those concepts from sketches to models through to detailed, precise 3D and prototypes that allow our engineers to understand the detail behind your proposals. During the design process, you’ll expected to deploy also user research and usability testing to ensure your ideas serves patient’s needs. You’ll also be responsible for:
• Develop user personas, clinical workflows and requirements through user interviews and observation.
• Transform user requirements into ideas and bring concepts to life through the use of: sketching, 3D modeling, prototyping and ME collaboration, focusing on patient experience.
• Integrate physical design with embedded and delegated user interfaces and UI elements focusing on device workflow optimization.
• Follow and implement standards and design guidelines specific to Medical Device design.
• Work closely with ME/HW development team to ensure feasibility and innovative solutions.
• Lead and participate in collaborative ideation and creation workshops alongside colleagues and client stakeholders.
What you’ll need
You have a talent and passion not only for Industrial Design but also for Digital aspects of Medical Device Design, internal product architecture, prototyping, and user research. You are deeply curious about people — their motives, their environments, the things they are trying to achieve — and recognize that they are at the core of any design project you carry out.
• Experience in Industrial Design of complex devices, design experience in a Senior ID role in either a client or agency environment
• Ability to confidently participate in and lead workshops with key stakeholders at a senior level.
• Creating sketches, models, visualizations to explore and communicate your ideas.
• Having an experience of designing end to end project Physical and phy-gital products.
• A strong portfolio that shows your complete work/thought process (and not only end results).
